I have seen all of these the past few days but not so close and personal. Great photos.

  • I’m with Jayne… what an experience! I’m totally envious now… beautiful birds, beautiful shots.

  • BTW… which one’s responsible for the blood? :)

  • @ Jayne - thanks! LOL
@ Lisa, how great and thanks!
@ Pinar - thanks and glad I could share it with everyone! . . . . The sharpy picture will be in tomorrows post!

  • They’re BEAUTIFUL! Enough said, right?

  • Your bird pictures are amazing and i can’t get enough. Yellow Warbler is my favorite pic.

  • I’m embarrassed to say it, but I didn’t know there were so MANY different kinds of warblers! They are each so differently beautiful. A group from our church went out Saturday to find warblers. They are going again next week. I may just have to go, now that I’ve seen what might be seen!

  • So that is what an Ovenbird looks like! ok when i see you again you will have to tell me why they are called that.

  • Oh dear… I can’t decide which is my favorite…

  • They seem so much smaller to me when you’re holding them in your hand. More beautiful though!

  • Boy, do they ever have color diversity! That had to be quite a day to see so many spectacular birds at one time.

That is almost a bird book of warbler ids - great job.

  • JEALOUS!! - fantastic shots as usual. I’d love to see these beautiful birds this close up.

  • Gee, I was all excited about my warblers from Central Park - then I came here - now I want to throw my camera out and trash my pictures. Are you happy? (just kidding - kinda) AMAZING PHOTOS!

  • These little guys are soooooo gorgeous. I completely intend to add this as a favorite on my links - so when I find a warbler I can do a comparison in order to ID. Isn’t that yellow warbler just gorgeous? It almost looks like his beak has been dipped in silver. To me this post tells an amazing photographic story of the diversity of nature and the amazing beauty as well. Brilliant Tom!

  • How about you hide in a bush and hold those birds up for me?-Then I’ll get some great warbler photos!

  • Thanks everyone! I just loved sharing these birds with everyone!

  • Gosh they’re all so beautiful! And you realize how tiny they are once a human is holding them. Isn’t it amazing how far a tiny bird like that can fly to migrate twice each year?
